I love the challenge of organizing big, complex ideas and problems into coherent, palatable solutions that allow organizations to move forward and progress toward their goals.
My intuitive sense of visual art and design allows me to create compelling, focused, intentional instructional experiences that invite active engagement, and result in desired outcomes.
I am highly organized, dependable, and an effective collaborator, communicator, and project manager.

I grew up on a rice/crawfish farm in south Louisiana. I graduated the Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts in Natchitoches, La in 2002. For my undergraduate degree, I attended Tulane University in New Orleans, La and in 2006, received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in art history and dance. In 2005, I studied abroad at the University of Auckland in New Zealand for two semesters, focusing on non-Western performing and visual art traditions.
With my degree in hand, I moved to Colorado Springs, Co. I became a substitute teacher and taught dance. I decided that education was where I wanted to be and earned my Masters of Arts in Teaching from Colorado College in 2009. My focus was in Art at the Secondary level (grades 6-12). I completed my student teaching and an internship at Challenger Middle School.
From 2009-2014, I worked at a series of secondary schools in Colorado Springs: Cheyenne Mountain Junior High, Wasson High School, Harrison High School, and Sand Creek High School. I taught a range of arts courses, from beginning, entry-level classes to more advanced, media-specific courses. Throughout this time, I was also a dance educator, ensemble director, and professional dancer and choreographer with Ormao Dance Company.
In 2014, my partner's work moved us to Lubbock, Texas.
In 2016-2017, I was a part-time dance instructor at Texas Tech University and Ballet Lubbock.
After the birth of my second child, I returned to full-time work as a K-8 art educator at Harmony Science Academy. I designed and facilitated learning experiences with focused objectives, rigorous and engaging activities and skill- builders, open-ended project options, and effective assessment tools. I took on a variety of leadership roles as well. I was a curriculum writer, PLC (Professional Learning Community) leader, Department Chair, and mentor teacher.
I also spear-headed our school's Character Committee, which initiated programs to address our school's climate and culture. I utilized project management skills with my team to create surveys for stakeholders, analyze the data, and allow that data to drive our goals and activity.
In 2019, I was named District Teacher of the Year.
In 2023, my partner began a Masters program at LSU, which brought me back to Louisiana.
I decided to step back from K-12 teaching and delve deeper into instructional design and curriculum development. I took a job as an Academic Counselor in the LSU Ogden Honors College, where I created an online community resource in Moodle to empower students to navigate and leverage the opportunities in the Honors College.
In the fall of 2025, through a partnership with Lafargue LLC, I completed an instructional design project for a small community bank. I performed a needs analysis to determine the organization's performance gaps and created three distinct eLearning experiences in Articulate Rise to address those needs. One module was a microlearning experience to introduce new hires to the history, culture, and core values of the bank. The other two modules were more comprehensive in scope and focused on educating employees about the Bank Secrecy Act and Robbery procedures.
